Account Deletion Request
Last updated: January 1st, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Prompture account and what happens to your data when you do.
How to delete your account (recommended)
- Open the Prompture app
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down to the bottom
- Tap Delete account
- Follow the confirmation steps
If you signed in with Google or Apple, deleting your Prompture account will remove your Prompture profile and data from Prompture, but it does not automatically remove your Google/Apple account.
If you can't access the app
Email us at: support@prompture.app
Subject: Delete my Prompture account
In the email, include:
- The email address you used to sign in (Google/Apple/email login)
- Your Prompture username (if you know it)
- A short line confirming you want the account deleted
7-day deletion countdown
When you request account deletion, your account enters a 7-day deletion countdown.
- During the 7-day countdown, your account may remain accessible (or have limited access) while the request is pending.
- If the app provides a “Cancel deletion” option, you can cancel the deletion request during the countdown.
- After the 7-day countdown ends, the deletion request is carried out and your account is deleted.
What data is deleted after the countdown
After the 7-day countdown ends, we delete your account and remove direct identifiers associated with your Prompture profile, as applicable, such as:
- Account profile information (email, username)
- Gender used for personalization/recommendations
- Saved prompts, favorites, likes, and other in-app preference data
- Authentication credentials and sign-in connections used to access the app (for example, email/password or Google/Apple sign-in links)
Community content (if applicable)
If you posted content in a community feature (current or future), we will remove the connection between your posts and your account. Depending on how a feature works, content may be deleted or anonymized (for example, your username removed) to protect other users' discussions.
Pseudonymized data (what may be retained)
After deletion is completed, we may retain certain records in a pseudonymized form for purposes such as analytics, security, preventing abuse, and improving the app. This means we remove direct identifiers (like email and username) and break the link to your identity so the remaining data cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Examples of pseudonymized records we may retain include:
- App usage and interaction events (for example, counts and timestamps of views/copies/likes) used to understand feature performance
- Security and anti-abuse logs needed to protect users and prevent fraud
- Diagnostic logs used to maintain reliability and troubleshoot issues
We do not sell personal information.
What may be kept (limited cases)
We may retain certain records only when required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or accounting reasons. If retained, we limit it to what's necessary and keep it for the minimum required time.
Examples may include:
- Basic transaction or refund records required for accounting (if applicable)
- Records needed to resolve disputes or investigate fraud/abuse
Subscriptions and credits
Deleting your Prompture account does not automatically cancel subscriptions purchased through Google Play or Apple. You must cancel those in your store settings:
- Google Play: Subscriptions section in Google Play
- Apple: Subscriptions section in Apple ID settings
After deletion, you may lose access to any remaining credits tied to your account.
